In addition to specific subject content, further competencies are included in all courses:

• Academic work including the required information and media literacy,

• Foreign language skills,

• A basic understanding of business interdependencies,

 • The ability to present ideas, concepts, projects or products in oral, written and digital form.

Work placements and practical projects are integral parts of each study programme.

The bachelor’s degree facilitates rapid career starts, while qualifying graduates for a research-oriented master’s degree at a university or university of applied sciences. Theoretical and methodological foundations and practical projects complement each other.

At Hochschule Bielefeld – University of Applied Sciences and Arts (HSBI), application-oriented research and development is a top priority and something our teaching greatly benefits from because the results and findings from R&D are communicated during the course, and students are involved in research-related projects when writing their dissertations, for example.
