Hochschule Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and Arts
Campus OWL is a network of five higher education institutions in OstWestfalenLippe (OWL) – Bielefeld University, Paderborn University, HSBI, OWL University of Applied Sciences and Arts, and Detmold University of Music. This joint network facilitates cooperation and provides a platform for developing ideas for collaboration. With around 120,000 companies, OWL in northwestern Germany is a region with an industrial focus, where business and science are closely connected. The collaboration of a wide variety of high-performance companies and universities makes OWL an important science location with over 65,000 students and more than 500 study programs in all academic fields. Campus OWL represents different university types (universities, universities of applied sciences, university of music) with locations in Bielefeld, Detmold, Gütersloh, Höxter, Lemgo, Minden and Paderborn. Internationality plays a key role.
The Campus OWL New York Office was founded in 2019 and represents these five higher education institutions in North America. The joint liaison office promotes opportunities for study and research and facilitates collaboration with North American partner institutions.
The office serves as a hub to connect students, researchers, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders to enable cooperation and knowledge exchange. The liaison office offers advice on student exchange, short-term study and internship programs, promotes full degree programs in innovative study and research areas and provides information about funding opportunities and open positions. In addition, Campus OWL New York strengthens existing and builds new institutional partnerships in North America.
