Wifi

On the main campus and at all other campuses and study locations, the Data Processing Centre provides a WLAN infrastructure, with which you can connect your own end devices (notebook, tablet, smartphone, etc.) to the university’s data network via wireless network. You can establish the wireless connection without software through the eduroam network. The university is a member of the eduroam network. Eduroam (education roaming) is a secure, worldwide roaming service that enables users to access the Internet with their notebooks via WLAN using its members’ networks. In return, users of the other network partners will also be able to use their own infrastructure to receive network access at HSBI.

Please use your HSBI credentials with the “@hsbi.de” realm for authentication on the network. The WLAN connection is encrypted with WPA2 + AES and is sufficiently secure. Use is free of charge and available 24/7. Maintenance work will be announced in the Aktuelles (news) section. Support is provided by the university’s IT ServiceDesk, unless otherwise specified.

Guests and visitors to the university can use the Bi-free wi-fi.
