Webex

The Data Processing Centre has signed a campus license agreement with Cisco Communications to use the product Cisco Webex. Webex is a team communication and collaboration application with video telephony, video meetings, group messaging, file sharing and whiteboard functionalities.

To use the Cisco Webex applications, you must activate your personal Webex account through the Benutzerverwaltung. After activation, you will receive a confirmation message and an e-mail, and all Cisco Webex applications will be available to you. Please note that you will be logged in to your personal Webex account with your university e-mail address and your personal password pertaining to your university login.

You can use Cisco Webex from your browser, via a desktop application (Windows, MacOS, Linux), or from an app on your mobile device in Android and iOS. The address for use in the browser is: https://teams.webex.com/.

Data transmission in the Webex application is always encrypted. In addition, full end-to-end encryption can be enforced when setting up a meeting by selecting the “Webex Meetings FHBI Secured Pro Meeting” meeting type.
