Printing, copying, scanning

The Data Processing Centre provides multi-function devices for printing, copying and scanning at all locations. You can use them with your CampusCard or Studierendenwerk Bielefeld’s ServiceCard.

Printing is subject to a charge, which will be deducted from the existing credit balance of the aforementioned cards. Billing and topping up of the cards is processed by Studierendenwerk Bielefeld. Scans (A3/A4) in colour or black/white are free of charge.

The current prices for prints on standard paper (white, 80 g/m²) are:

• B/w print A4: €0.04
• B/w print A3: €0.08
• Colour print A4: €0.10
• Colour print A3: €0.20

FollowMePrinting is used to print to a central print queue from the university’s PCs. On the PCs, you must use your university login to access the print queue of the billing system. To confirm the print jobs and retrieve your prints, you can use any of the university’s public multi-function devices (FollowMePrinting).

Using the Mobile Printing feature, you can send documents in PDF, JPG and common office formats from mobile devices to the multi-function devices through a web application. Please use your university login or the number of your ServiceCard to access the web application. The web application also offers the following functionalities:

• View outstanding print jobs and their properties,
• View recent transactions in your user account. Charges, top-ups and transactions of the CampusCard can be viewed at the terminals.

Print services are available during the university’s opening hours. Maintenance work will be announced in the Aktuelles (news) section. Support is provided by the university’s IT ServiceDesk, unless otherwise specified.
