Knowledge and Technology Transfer Team

A close network of representatives from research, industry and society is of utmost importance for regional development. Therefore, activities supporting the transfer of ideas, knowledge and technology play a prominent role at HSBI.

Together with our partners in business, industry and the third sector we work to create an environment in which all participants may benefit from knowledge and technology transfer. With this goal in mind, our professors and researchers aim at combining practical experience and scientific research, especially with regard to the education of our students. This allows our students to benefit from research-led teaching and practical experience at an early stage in their studies. The Knowledge and Technology Transfer Team acts as a link between university researchers and external partners from industry and the third sector and supports both sides in establishing contacts and initiating cooperation projects. At the same time, the team works closely with existing transfer institutions, business promoters and industry networks. In addition, it participates in all relevant initiatives of HSBI, such as the Bielefeld Research and Innovation Campus (BRIC) or the Technology Transfer framework project of it’s OWL.
