The electrical resistance of knitted fabrics of yarn with thin stainless steel fibers is not only dependent on tension and pressure, which their application as textile sensors make possible. Also the knitted fabrics' parameters influence the resistance clearly. Thus the production of conducting knitting fabrics of yarn with stainless steel portion allows for example the adjustment and inspection of the scuttle of flat knitting machines.
