Abstract
A new method was developed to design textile and other surfaces in color in a joint project of the University of St. Petersburg and the Niederrhein University. In contrast to conventional means of coloring, the possibility of varying the colors in the finished object in multifaceted ways (dynamic color design on the basis of physical effects) exists and thereby involving the owner of such an object in the design process.
