In\r\naddition, information sharing becomes increasingly\r\ndecisive for the competition, e.g. in supply networks\r\nwhere products and logistics data such as demands\r\nand capacities are exchanged. As many companies\r\nare, however, highly reluctant to share data across the\r\nsupply chain, this paper applies the methodology of\r\ndesign science research to, first, state the\r\nrequirements for shared digital twins based on five\r\nindustrial use cases. It turns out that with regard to\r\ndata decentralism, sovereignty and compatibility\r\nthrough global standardization are key success\r\nfactors.
