Abstract
Open Area Test Sites (OATS) typically consist of groundplanes with different sizes and shapes. The normalized site attenuation (NSA) is the standardized method to check the characteristics of the OATS [1,2]. Nevertheless the repeatability of EMC compliance tests on different OATS could be improved [3,4]. In this paper, the deviation of different groundplane shapes and sizes against the ideal OATS is investigated for the vertical antenna polarization case, complementing the investigation of the horizontal antenna polarization case studied in [5]. To verify the simulations, a comparison between the numerical result and an analytical description has been carried out.
