Especially academic entrepreneurship has obtained a growing importance as a mechanism to promote regional employment and social cohesion. Therefore, it is quite understandable that the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), allocated by the European Union, enhances regional competitiveness and employment in the period of 2014–2020 by focusing on innovation and entrepreneurship.
